A blink of an eye

We have officially been married a year. What a year it has been. We went down to visit my family as part of our celebration, and it has been so much fun. we left Saturday morning and stopped on the way down to look at some places to live in Cedar City. I loved one and HATED the other. The one I loved is a two bedroom duplex split level with a fireplace and a big back yard (fenced) 1.5 bathrooms and a big living room. Carpeted, stairs enough storage and covered parking. I walked into the house and there was a good feeling. ANYWAY we finally got to my parents house and we played games with Kendra and Golden's kids. The kids had earned some money so after we played games we went to see Monsters Vs. Aliens. We all really enjoyed it. There was a part where Susan is running away from something and Gage was really concerned for her saftey he shouted out "run big girl run!" We had a good little giggle over that. Another time Susan (who always seems to be in trouble) was taken up to the space ship and Lacie says "oh no, oh no, oh no!" another good chuckle. We had dinner and it was time to settle down a little and get the kids ready for church the next day. Sunday mom had an early meeting so I got to play mom and get the younger kids ready for Church. There were several disasters. Lincolns pants were a little loose, and he forgot a belt. Zach to the rescue! He found a small belt in the botom of his closet. Gager didn't have any church clothes....so he went to church in his jeans and a t-shirt. *gulp* Sorry Kendra. (She always has her kids looking so cute) and Shaunie was upset because she didnt have her CTR ring, or her scriptures. Zach again came to the rescue and found some for her. Lacie....We ran out of pullups. So after sacrament meeting we took her home, because she was soggy enough that she was leaking. *sigh* Kendra nad Golden were on the front page of the paper and Gage got a little nervouse. But when he saw his mom come in all worries were gone, and he was his happy and energetic self again. Mom made a ham, and some AMAZING side dishes and we had a picnic. We took the top layer of our wedding cake, and it was still really yummy! After the picnic we went home and the Johnson kids got to spend some time with thier parents (whom they missed.) Adam, Mom, Dad, Zach and I all played a game which is called "would you rather" and it was quite amusing. Much laughter and hilarity ensued.

Here is where I get to Brag on my brilliant Lincoln and Shaunie. The school recenlty held the imagine compititon and Lincoln and Shaunie did really well. Lincoln got first in piano (he's amazing) First in group Lip Sync and second in litruature. Shaunie got first in group singing, piano and group Lip Sync. Monday was their awards ceremony and the performance catagories got to do their acts. So I went and got to watch my dear niece and nephew perform. They were AEWSOME! That evening we played a little more Would you rather and it was really fun, again. Then, sadly, it was time for us to head back up to the frozen north. well we aren't so frozen right now but you know. On the way home, we got in a little accident. It was dark and we hit the catch bag for a lawn mower. It is the ONE time that we were greatful that a state trooper was following us. We jaked up the car pulled out the bag and got home.

Yesterday I got the Dental work finished (root canal and crown) and we went to Tucanos to do our own private Celbration of the year we have spent together. It was BYU graduation so even though we got there at 11 and they told us it would be 5 minutes it was almost an hour wait....so they gave us one of our meals for free! It was a nice gift for us. So our adventure continues and another year will pass....in the blink of an eye.

Thanks so much for all your help with my kids. I am glad they had fun with you; they keep talking abuout their fun weekend, and Golden and I really appreciated the get-away (if it could have only been for a happier reason.) Scary to hear about your accident (my heart skipped a beat for you) and we are looking forward to having you a little closer by. Love ya sis!

Isn't it funny how time passes? I forget that we got married around the same time...and to ME it seems like we've just been married forever (I don't remember life without my sweetheart -- I'm not sad about it one bit!). Congrats again, you two are super cute!
