All Riled up and a fine place to rant...

I am on my soap box tonight...so if your not up for it skip this post and read Ka-thunk.

I'm what one could call a BBW. For those who don't speak acronyms that means a Big Beautiful Woman. I have an awesome hubby who tells me every day that I am beautiful. I am very blessed in that manner.

I haven't always been. And thank you Tyra for that reminder. I was watching her show today about a social experiment, she put people together of different body types (which by the way is the last LEGAL form of discrimination, body type.) and looked at how they would react with one another. Guess who was at the bottom of the "food chain" so to speak. That's right. The heavy people. Everybody was picking on them and telling them they need to eat less, that they were lazy, that they were appalling, and a waste of humanity. This is not just this select group of people that feel this way. It's a majority. I know because of personal experiences. Right after I started dating Adam I was in the grocery store buying some food to cook him for dinner. A group of teenagers walked by me and moo'd at me. In high school I would walk down the hall and hear "watch out here comes the whale lady" when I tell people we are having a hard time having a baby their first question is always, have you considered losing weight? Because it's still okay to make someone feel like crap when they are already down.

I need to say, to those people, my weight is none of your business. My eating habits are not there for you to laugh at. There is a reason I am the way I am and you have no idea what that reason is. You haven't taken the time to get to know me or my story. I have a lot to offer this world, and I deserve to be here. I may not be YOUR definition of beauty, but that dosen't mean that I'm not beautiful. Maybe you should take some time to change your perceptions.

To those who love an accept me for who I am. Thank you. I love you. And for those who know my whole story and love me even more, thank you. My you live a blessed and happy life, for that is what Christ does.

I promise not to judge you, if you don't judge me. But if you attack me, or my loved ones I will come at you with the fierceness of a tiger.
